The CAG has talent, and we need you!

Hey CAG members – we need you! We have three outstanding roles that are in need of special attention – Director of Public Relations, Director of Development and Director of Exhibits. Please consider the descriptions of these positions and jump in and share your talents with us!

Director of Development is an existing position with limitless possibility. The central focus is creating relationships between the CAG and the business community. That includes local/regional corporations, large and small businesses, the healthcare community and others. We’d love to further expand our community outreach programs and develop sponsorship opportunities for those as well as exhibits and awards associated with our exhibits. The partnership options are infinite, but they begin with relationships. This role is a board of directors position and requires the ability and energy to research, reach out and follow up. We’ll give you the tools and support – you provide the energy and creativity!

The Director of Exhibits position comes from our need for event space. Nothing’s off the table with this role as long as it fits the bill for exhibit space and falls within our budget. The Charleston Visitor Center is no longer available so we need space for our annual Member Exhibit, Signature Show and the High School Seniors Exhibit. Think of creative spaces with high visibility, preferably in Charleston, but not necessarily downtown. Consider venues where people already are – hotels, museums, breweries, etc. Once a venue(s) is established, this individual will work with several others to ensure communications, set up and hospitality are all in sync. Think logistics and research in terms of the best Charleston has to offer and we’ll jump in to pull it all together.

The Director of Public Relations position needs an exceptional writer who generates press releases as needed and writes great content for our website and social media. The CAG needs a vital individual who loves promoting our exhibits, workshops and events and would do so in a timely fashion
