The Charleston Artist Guild (CAG) is pleased to announce the award winners of the 2021 High School Senior Art Exhibition (virtual edition). The High School Seniors Art Exhibit has a rich history, and was established well over 20 years ago as one of our missions to support arts education in the community.

  • Tri-county high school seniors who were enrolled in art programs were invited to participate in this years virtual exhibit.  Fifty-one entries from five area high schools were submitted and judged, and 16 awards will be presented.
  • Two scholarships are funded by the New Jersey Foundation on behalf of the Mello-Hill Charitable Fund. The Foundation supports creative projects that tackle critical societal or policy issues to scholarship funds, corporate philanthropy, legacy funds and donor advised funds, and manages nearly every kind of giving vehicle and tailors solutions to meet critical needs.
  • Three $2000 CAG scholarships are funded from 10 % of Gallery sales, and from members who contribute to the cause.
  • Joyce Hall, a CAG member and well known local art instructor, sponsored the Martin Ahrens Scholarship.
  • Mary Whyte, local renowned artist, supports budding artists by providing funds for the “Best Watercolor Award” to CAG for the high school show.
  • Every award winner will also receive a free one-year membership to the Guild, with all the benefits associated.
