Steve captures this passion using oil, watercolor, acrylics and pencil. Although he works mostly in a traditional style, his Mystery Works Series is an explosion of creativity, freedom and artistic expression; a whimsical alternative to Steve’s detailed architectural style. For years Steve entertained Atlanta, as one of its top pianists. Now he frequently paints musical and other subjects which are transformed from realism to fantasy in the same canvas. He is currently a member of the Charleston Artists Guild.

Artist’s statement. “My painting style ranges from loose to photo realistic. For over 30 years, I have worked from photographs, and from plein air sketches in Charleston capturing the beauty and history of the city.”
