Artistic Growth Members’ Program – Helen Beacham

The Charleston Artist Guild offers critique sessions which are free and one of the most valuable benefits of your membership in the guild.

Date: Tuesday, October 24, 6:30 – 8:00pm
Place: Charleston Artist Guild Gallery
160 East Bay Street

We are very pleased to have Helen Beacham as our October artist for the critique session.
Helen was born in Montreal, Canada. She now lives in Summerville where she maintains her studio. “I am drawn to all things old,” says Helen, who enjoys traveling to Italy where the history and culture ooze their age gracefully.

Helen is called the “Watercolor Painter of Elegant Tranquility”. Her painting and teaching career spans 30 years. In 2017, in addition to taking students to Venice for a workshop, she put together a Venice excursion for non-painters to see Venice through her painter’s eyes. Her award-winning work is in many private and corporate collections throughout the U.S., Canada, England, Kuwait, Australia, Italy and other countries.

Helen displays her work at the Perspective Gallery in Mt. Pleasant and at her home studio in Summerville (by appointment). Visit Helen’s website to get more information about her upcoming workshops: workshop information here

Please join us for a relaxing glass of wine and an inspiring painting critique. No matter what medium you work in, you will benefit from Helen’s critique. There is room for 8 participants and 2 observers. Participants should bring one painting to be critiqued. Sign up today! Spaces will be filled quickly.
